RESEARCH GOAL

The goal of this project is to learn how people make decisions when traveling with a group of friends or family, and what makes this experience unique and memorable.


AUDIENCE

The target user of Veletas is generation X, with flexible income who occasionally travels in groups of family and friends. These users have a strong preference for mobile devices as the main platform for discovering, documenting, sharing, and communication between them before, after, and while traveling.
 
 

 INTERVIEW INSIGHTS

In order to understand the user, their motivations, needs, and pain points, I conducted multiple interviews with people who enjoy traveling with family and/or friends who shared things in common.

USER PERSONA

Through the interviews, I discovered that a group of people choose a leader who organizes the logistics of the trip but is also responsible for sharing the information between all of the members while also encouraging them to participate in the decision making process. 
This insight was a key element to create my user persona and the journey map.

DESIGN PROCESS

After identifying the key pain points, I designed an easy and effective way of making decisions when people travel with groups of friends or family, enriching their shared experience through enhanced communication so that finding consensus becomes an enjoyable part of the journey.

USER INTERFACE DESIGN

The interface highlights a wide range of content, such as destinations, hotels, and restaurants, through a friendly and inspiring visual language that generates desire in the user. The aesthetic is defined through the images and typography, cleanly using one color - orange - to identify the buttons and actions.
